I don't like to do new years resolutions..I sort of think they are silly and I never follow through with them. One thing I do like to do though, is have a word for the year. This year the word I have decided on is "BOLD."
"Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ." (Acts 28:31)
"Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness." (Acts 4:29)
These two verses were the inspiration for my word of the year, both verses that I've heard while home on Christmas break. I think this idea of "boldness" is so key to my faith because I tend to lack that quality. I'm very timid and I don't want to be that way, especially in my faith. As I prepare in these coming months for Nicaragua, I want to be bold. I want to be bold while I'm in Nicaragua. I want to come back and know nothing different. I want to live passionately enjoying where God has placed me, making every day beautiful.
