Better (But only in Christ).

I want to be wise so I will fear You.
I want to be strong so I will let go of everything.
I want to know my purpose so I will search the depths of my heart for You,
For You, God.

I may have been oblivious to what You were doing in my life,
But I know now,
You make me better. Stronger.

I see now all the great You've done,
But only by Your grace was I saved.
You make me better. Steady.

It may take a while to see the beauty,
But I know it's coming.
You make me better. Complete.



This is something I wrote a very long time ago, but it seems appropriate for the year 2011. I'm ready for 2012 and all that it will bring. I'm ready for God to continue to work in my life, just as He is always doing. I'm ready to listen and be willing to act, and I guess I'll see where that takes me in the next year.
